‘How Dare Liberals!’: Dershowitz Blasts Fellow Dems Over Claims Trump Is Mentally Ill

Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz sounded off on claims the 25th Amendment should be used to remove President Trump over his mental capacity.

Dershowitz, a Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton, said calls for removal are “very dangerous.”Image result for Alan Dershowitz“There’s only one thing worse than trying to criminalize political differences and that’s trying to psychiatrize them,” he said. “These psychiatrists who are trying to diagnose without having even met the man. That’s what they did in Russia.”

Yale University psychiatrist Dr. Brandy X. Lee told the “Washington Examiner” that several Democratic senators and one Republican senator met with her after she published analysis questioning Trump’s mental health.

However, Lee’s statements have been found to violate the “Goldwater Rule” — an ethical standard set forth by the American Psychiatric Association regarding evaluating politicians or people they have not met.

“How dare liberals… try to undo democracy by accusing a president of being mentally ill without any basis?” Dershowitz asked of those citing Lee and others.

Dershowitz said the 25th Amendment — ratified in 1967 and delineating presidential succession — does not apply in this case.

He said former President Ronald Reagan appeared to be developing Alzheimer’s near the end of his term so a case could have been made for him, but reminded viewers that Vice President George Bush would have had to invoke the amendment.

Dershowitz said in Trump’s case, that duty would fall to Mike Pence and then require a two-thirds vote of both houses of Congress to remove him.

‘Shut the F*** Up’: ‘Anchorman’ Producer Apatow Goes on Anti-Trump Tweetstorm:

Film producer Judd Apatow ripped President Trump in a series of tweets this weekend, demanding that he “shut the f*** up.”

Apatow, whose production credits include several Will Ferrell films like “Anchorman” and “Talladega Nights” also called into question the president’s mental health.

“Please shut the f*** up for once in your life. Shut the f*** up. We all need one moment of peace you spoiled, self-involved idiot,” the “40-Year-Old Virgin” producer said.

“Take a nap. Change your sheets. Eat a non-poisoned Big Mac,” he continued, referencing a report that Trump prefers fast food because it is pre-made and therefore has less chance of being tainted.

Apatow demanded that his fans “fill the offices of our legislators and call non stop today demanding this mentally ill president be removed.”@JuddApatow
We all should be filling the offices of our legislators and calling non stop today demanding this mentally ill President be removed. Not doing so puts lives at risk. If we don’t history will ask why we didn’t act.

“Not doing so puts lives at risk,” he said.

On “Fox & Friends,” Lisa Boothe  said people in Hollywood like Apatow “don’t understand America.”

@JuddApatow
You are right. I think we should drill in the ocean, outlaw marijuana, have more silencers, not keep the environment clean, take away women’s rights, offend all of our allies, build a pointless wall, and ignore his sexual harassment, racism and creeping dementia. It’s all good.

“Most of America is just tired of hearing from them,” Boothe said, pointing out that Apatow should have realized congressional offices are closed on weekends.

After Trump was elected in 2016, Apatow reportedly told a Los Angeles audience that it “felt like I’ve been raped.”
